The MSI B450M-A PRO MAX II is a value-packed AM4 board for budget builds and upgrades. Its wide CPU support covers Ryzen 5000, 4000 G, 3000, 2000 and 1000 series plus Athlon with Radeon Vega Graphics, so it can host most AM4 processors.
Two DDR4 slots support up to 64GB with A-XMP overclocking up to 4133 MHz. The M.2 slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 for NVMe SSDs, there are four SATA ports for more storage, and a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot takes a graphics card.
It stands out at this price with Realtek 2.5Gbps LAN and six USB 5Gbps connections. HDMI 2.0b (4K 60Hz) and DVI-D outputs support CPUs with integrated graphics, and Audio Boost brings clearer 7.1 sound.
A sensible choice for upgrading an older AM4 PC, office systems and entry-level gaming or home builds. No Wi-Fi is included.
